Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft patent applications for inventions in information and communication technologies.
  • Deliver prosecution projects, including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting responses.
  • Prepare provisional specifications and complete patent applications with well-crafted claim sets conforming to US and EP patent standards.
  • Provide training to team members on technical areas.
  • Mentor team members and interns on assigned technology areas, providing guidance and direction.
  • Apply process knowledge to produce consistent, high-quality results in assigned tasks.
  • Perform multiple tasks and work independently on assigned projects.
  • Identify issues, implement best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance team performance and improve productivity.
  • Analyze and solve problems using available tools.
  • Participate in the hiring process by preparing test papers, evaluating candidates, and interviewing.
  • Lead team members in specialized technical assignments and projects requiring high-level proficiency and competency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or technology from a reputable institute.
  • Excellent domain knowledge in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
  • At least 4 years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, with 2+ years of experience in patent drafting for the US jurisdiction.

Experience drafting over 50 patent applications for the US domain is highly valued. A thorough understanding of IP law and regulations is essential for this role.
