Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled STEM Education Specialist.


As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of STEM education programs for teachers. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing high-quality workshops and courses for teachers in STEM, utilizing progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement capacity building program plans in STEM, providing inputs for the preparation of the academic calendar for our organization.
  • Coordinate with other subject teams to plan and execute STEM programs effectively.
  • Analyze feedback on training programs received from teachers and other training participants, incorporating it into subsequent trainings.
  • Provide direction for the STEM program in alignment with current educational policies and guidelines.
  • Develop detailed program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules for effective implementation based on background studies of relevant national and international reference materials.
  • Develop program materials for short-term and intensive courses, strengthening the Resource Centre and developing subject-specific resource material.
  • Regularly update developed resources based on conducted action research or primary/secondary research or other academic reading and writing.
  • Develop research-based specialized content and instructions to achieve workshop goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training need assessments, baseline, and end-line assessments to check the effectiveness of the program.
  • Conceptualize, design, and conduct research/s on a regular basis, exploring the latest methodologies, resources, and approaches in the field of education and the expertise area to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program modules and other resources.
  • Conceptualize and produce academic writings in the subject domain.
  • Regularly observe classroom sessions at various schools to understand the impact of the programs.
  • Plan and provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools in the respective subject.
  • Intensive engagement with a cohort of teachers to understand factors required for effective change in teaching practices.
  • Document and report progress on allocated tasks, preparing and submitting training reports, classroom observation reports, events, and other reports.
  • Collaborate with teachers, team members, and other organization members to perform assigned tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and publication of Annual Reports, Newsletters, and other publications.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in events organized by our team.
  • Participate in staff development activities and workshops that are academically relevant for the subject team.


To be successful in this role, you should have:


  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education.
  • M.Sc. (Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry), B.Ed, or an equivalent degree.
