Euphotic is a deep-tech start-up based out of Bangalore working on automating the tedious task of cooking. Responsibilities:




  • Design and develop mechanical systems, focusing on automotive mechanisms (e.g., drives, actuators)
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal design, linear motion, and plastics part design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, electronics, and manufacturing) to integrate mechanical systems into new product designs
  • Develop and evaluate prototypes, perform detailed tolerance analyses, and refine designs based on testing results
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept, design, and prototyping to production and validation
  • Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability standards
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth transition from design to production
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement design improvements for existing products


Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in NPD, with a focus on automotive mechanism design
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and FEA analysis
  • Hands-on experience in designing and validating electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection moulding), and GD&T
  • Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Clear thought process, believe in simplifying rather than complicating
