Job Opportunity: Assistant Treasurer

This role is key to our organization's success, as the Assistant Treasurer will play a vital part in optimizing short-term liquidity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cash management tasks, including monitoring cash balances, bank reporting, and maintaining treasury dashboards.
  • Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and conduct variance analysis between projected and actual cash flow statements.
  • Manage bank relationships and overall liquidity, ensuring our organization remains financially stable.
  • Oversee and manage the debt schedule, guaranteeing timely obligations are met.
  • Coordinate with global counterparts and banks to reconcile and record activities, ensuring accurate and timely wire payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain account records accurately.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Operations teams to gather data for cash forecasting and facilitate banking transactions and approvals effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a treasury or cash management function.
  • Proficiency in financial and cash management principles.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer software skills, particularly with Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Able to handle sensitive information appropriately, including maintaining regulatory compliance and audit trails.
  • Keen interest in process improvement, with a focus on defining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and increasing process efficiencies.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • A team player who can effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple departments.
