Senior Tax Specialist

As a senior tax specialist, you will play a critical role in overseeing our organization's tax strategy, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation and review of income tax and GST returns, ensuring timely and accurate filing of all tax forms.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for corporate and state taxes.
  • Find opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
  • Manage tax team members as they prepare components of the company's income tax return and other tax documents.
  • Plan for and develop the overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the tax team.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Manage and facilitate income tax audits, preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate their effects proactively to management and stakeholders, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a tax manager, preferably with a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge, strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax laws, compliance, and procedures for Companies.
  • Experience in handling tax for a listed Company is preferred, along with the ability to work well independently and effectively with stakeholders.
