Job Title: Senior Manager - Data Insights Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Data Insights Leader to join our team at NielsenIQ. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming large and complex data sets into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Data Visualization: Create intuitive and impactful data visualizations using Power BI to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Statistical Analysis & Hypothesis Testing: Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing to validate findings, ensure data accuracy, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to identify key insights, potential issues, and areas for further investigation.
  • Machine Learning (Optional): Implement machine learning models to enhance predictive analytics and automate decision-making processes.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that summarize analysis results, providing actionable recommendations for business strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven insights.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency through data analysis and provide recommendations for automation or optimization.
  • Mentorship & Training: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, sharing best practices and ensuring the continuous improvement of analytical capabilities within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including the use of macros, and complex SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Proficiency in data visualization tools, specifically Power BI, and programming experience, particularly in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and understanding of statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis. Experience with exploratory data analysis (EDA) and familiarity with machine learning concepts and Enterprise Resource Workforce management tools like Kronos, Saviom, and Replicon.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects. Level of curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.
