Geospatial Data Science Position

This role involves utilizing machine learning, deep learning, and AI concepts to develop innovative geospatial data science solutions. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in programming languages such as Python, and possess excellent communication abilities.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality data science solutions for various geospatial use cases.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, showcasing expertise and promoting geospatial data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ArcGIS with popular deep learning libraries.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends in machine and deep learning, incorporating them into project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical and machine learning concepts, including calculus, back propagation, ReLU, Bayes' theorem, Random Forests, time series analysis, etc.
  • Experience with applied statistics concepts, data visualization in Jupyter Notebooks using matplotlib and other libraries, and hyperparameter-tuning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PyTorch, and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Knowledge and experience of ESRI products like ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
