As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by ensuring seamless procurement processes.

Job Summary

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, placing orders, receiving confirmations, and tracking shipments.

  • Maintain strong relations with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
  • Receive and handle confirmations from suppliers.
  • Check purchase orders and modify them as per changes in the production plan.
  • Track shipments and expedite if necessary.
  • Regularly check stock levels to avoid overstocking.
  • Minimize obsolescence risk by monitoring weekly obsolete reports.
  • Correspond with freight forwarders, warehouses, and organize transportation.
  • Handle claims and settle debit and credit issues.
  • File and record necessary documents.
  • Check inventory of critical materials based on the Shortage List.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies with warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure purchasing data privacy.
  • Guarantee timely procurement of all active components at the requested price.
  • Review requisitions and MRP output.
  • Confer with vendors to obtain product information.
  • Order, reschedule, and cancel material based on requisitions and MRP output.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Manage supplier expectations and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Approve invoices for payment.
  • Investigate inventory levels.
  • Monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.
