Job Profile Overview

This role involves managing a portfolio of 35-40 FI clients, conducting in-depth due diligence on borrowers and industries, and undertaking end-to-end annual renewals of limits and borrower ratings. You will also be responsible for covenant checks, periodic monitoring reports, and preparing sector reports and stress tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of Financial Institutions (FI) clients, assessing their creditworthiness and providing recommendations for limit approvals and renewals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with credit processes and procedures, maintaining strong relationships with Relationship Managers, Product teams, and Credit Officers/Approvers.
  • Perform regular covenant checks and create periodic monitoring reports to maintain accurate records of client portfolios.
  • Prepare comprehensive sector reports and stress tests to identify potential risks and opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Support Relationship Managers/Credit Officers on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or portfolio reviews, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Audit management – Internal, External, including regulatory inspections (Credit Examination, JFSA/MAS/BoJ/RBI/Statutory etc.)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files as per Banks procedures and requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis of Financial Institutions, especially Insurance and other NBFIs.
  • The ability to assess macroeconomic environments and their impact on borrowers/portfolios.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg/CapIQ and similar systems.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • A collaborative attitude, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Prior experience managing FI portfolios in a similar setup is necessary, with exposure to US/LATAM/Canada markets being an added advantage.
Qualification and Experience

You should hold an MBA/equivalent from a premier institute and/or CA/CFA/FRM qualifications. Additionally, having experience as an FI credit analyst in a Global Capability Centre (GCC)/Centre of Excellence (CoE) setup is preferred, with existing exposure to US/LATAM/Canada/APAC/EMEA markets being beneficial.
