About Space Intelligence

This role involves working as a Data Scientist for our space data analytics product, utilizing expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and AI to develop innovative solutions.

Position Summary

As a key member of our India development team, you will work closely with the CTO to strategize the product roadmap and drive growth through cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art models for satellite imagery analysis.
  • Developing and fine-tuning deep learning models for edge deployment, balancing performance with efficiency, power, and computational constraints.
  • Providing expert guidance on MLOps, orchestration, and workflow best practices.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with GIS engineers, software teams, and product managers to integrate ML solutions into our broader pipeline.
  • Innovation & research: Staying ahead of emerging trends in Edge AI, ML, and remote sensing, and translating them into practical solutions for space applications.
  • Data handling: Processing large, complex datasets from diverse sensors; designing robust preprocessing, augmentation, and feature extraction workflows.
  • Communication & reporting: Clearly articulating technical concepts, results, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed team.
  • Quality & validation: Ensuring robustness, reliability, and reproducibility of solutions through systematic testing, benchmarking, and validation.

Requirements include:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–8 years in data science, with demonstrated hands-on experience in computer vision, image processing, or machine learning.
