Microsoft Data and AI Platform Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished expert to lead the development of a cutting-edge Microsoft-based data and AI platform for our client.

  • This role requires in-depth knowledge of Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with data modeling, business intelligence, and integration skills, as well as a strong security and governance mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a scalable data ingestion solution using Fabric Dataflows Gen2 or ADF, landing data in OneLake/ADLS.
  • Partner with our AI Builder (Python/dbt) team to expose curated datasets, implementing row-level security, semantic models, and DAX measures.
  • Build interactive Power BI pages, including Market Map, Territory KPIs, and Workflow Status, ensuring optimal refresh and performance.
  • Implement onboarding and termination workflows with Power Automate, incorporating forms, approvals, SLA timers, and immutable audit trails.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong data modeling and business intelligence skills, with experience in star schemas, semantic layer design, and DAX performance tuning.
  • Hands-on integration skills, including secure file drops, APIs, connectors, and gateways.
  • Security and governance mindset, with experience in RBAC, secrets, tenant policies, and audit logs.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Python/dbt engineers and having a basic understanding of SQL and dbt.

Bonus Requirements:

  • A track record of delivering enterprise Power Platform solutions with measurable impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical trade-offs to both engineers and business stakeholders.
