Procurement Manager Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for driving the planning and purchasing of direct and indirect materials from internal and external vendors to achieve established goals for delivery, price, and quality.


About the Job
  • You will identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and feasibility, collaborating with them to ensure their development aligns with established standards.
  • A key aspect of this role is developing and implementing purchasing strategies to reduce expenses, lead time, and inventory levels.
  • You will procure parts from import suppliers, domestic suppliers, and intercompany partners in accordance with purchasing strategies.
  • This position also involves managing functional master data in SAP, including maintaining accurate information on cost records, safety stock levels, forecasts, minimum order quantities, and lead times.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with the logistics department to ensure timely and damage-free delivery of products.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required for this position.
  • 10+ years experience in Procurement, Supply Chain MRP experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Working knowledge in SAP is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.
  • Excellent organization skills with a strong attention to detail are necessary for success in this position.
  • The ability to prioritize workload effectively is crucial.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond with a sense of urgency are also important.
  • Good follow-up skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Good analytical skill and good negotiation skills are also essential for this role.
  • SAP SD & MM knowledge is highly desirable.
