Web Development Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Web Development Manager to lead and mentor a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PHP frameworks and WordPress development, as well as strong project management skills.

This role will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle web development projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned with business goals.

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team of web developers and project managers.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) and WordPress.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution from requirement gathering to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and project management.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations for the development team.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and communication between internal teams and external clients.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track deliverables, manage risks, and drive efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to web standards, data security, and compliance protocols.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress.
  • Proven experience in leading web development teams and managing complex projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress (custom themes, plugins, multisite, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git), deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment.

Familiarity with hosting environments and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).

Agile/Scrum project management experience.
