Lead IBM i Tester

Job Overview:

  • We seek a Lead IBMI AS400 tester with a strong background in manual and automated testing to lead our testing team.
  • As a Lead tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases for IBM i-based applications, working closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • You will conduct system integration and user acceptance testing to validate application functionality.
  • Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, able to analyze test outcomes using cognitive techniques to drive improvements.
  • Additionally, they should have hands-on experience with SQL queries and a deep understanding of the Property & Casualty domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for complex applications.
  • Develop and maintain effective testing strategies, focusing on defect identification and resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical issues.
  • Communicate test results effectively to stakeholders, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience in testing, with a focus on IBMI AS400 and Property & Casualty domain expertise.
  • Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies, including defect tracking and management.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL queries and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
