About This Role

We are seeking a skilled motorcycle chassis component designer to join our engineering team.

As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative motorcycle chassis and structural components that meet performance and safety standards while embodying cutting-edge design and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and understand all loads on parts
  • Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for motorcycle structural components
  • Apply principles of design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for serviceability (DFS) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Choose appropriate materials based on factors such as strength, weight, cost, and durability
  • Basic understanding of chassis systems, including suspension and brakes
  • Perform structural analyses and simulations to validate design performance under various conditions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of components
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes and specifications
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Creo
  • Strong understanding of simulation tools for structural and thermal analysis
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly, welding, casting, forging, and machining
