Job Description

The role of Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing internal audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. They proactively address audit findings and implement corrective actions to strengthen internal controls across the organization.

This position drives the IT audit strategy across various entities, ensuring alignment with organizational risks and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing risk-based annual IT audit plans for various entities.
  • Leading annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishing controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance.
  • Ensuring proper resourcing for implementation of the plan and adjusting as needed in response to changes in business risks, operations, programs, systems, and controls.
  • Developing and updating audit tools considering IIA guidelines and operational, legal, and environmental changes of the entities.
  • Informing senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and governance requiring prompt attention.
  • Providing feedback and recommendations on IT and data risks and improving operational efficiencies and processes where appropriate.
  • Maintaining good relationships and working collaboratively with all key stakeholders across various entities.
  • Overseeing Internal Audit's participation in critical business and technology initiatives and projects ensuring that audit's perspective is effectively voiced and appropriate controls are designed and implemented on a proactive basis.
  • Serving as a 'thought leader' with respect to IT risk management and internal control best practices.
  • Continuously inspecting and assessing various elements of information systems and implementing audit test plans.
  • Identifying and evaluating IT risk exposure and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Reviewing security and digital measures taken by line functions and new business initiatives.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and regulators and providing independent assurance on the IT framework and associated controls.
  • Tracking issues and actions management process and ensuring timely closure.
  • Identifying early warning signals in IT areas and potential fraud scenarios for in-depth review and investigation.
  • Benchmarking systems to other available technologies on the market and strengthening the company further through the use of technology.
  • Issuing IT Audit reports in a timely manner ensuring reports are clear, concise, identify root causes with practical solutions, and ultimately provide value to management.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of MIS, reports, and data to assist the Function Head.
  • Preparing materials and making presentations to the audit committee and management independently.
Requirements
  • A CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, PPM, PMP, DISA, or equivalent IT audits-related qualification is preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience in IT audits, preferably with 2-3 years in a team management role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security and infrastructure. Experience of working or auditing in agile product management environments.
  • 3 to 5 years of Fintech or NBFC industry experience with good expertise of RBI and/or IRDAI guidelines on IT frameworks and sensitive data protection is preferred (not mandatory).
