System Infrastructure Specialist

This role involves overseeing and maintaining the infrastructure of computer systems, networks, and devices to ensure seamless operation.

  • Providing technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely.
  • Managing user permissions across various tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Jira, Zoom, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Maintaining IT security by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits of access controls, patches, and updates.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in IT processes and workflows.
  • Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to support remote deployments and field devices when needed.

A key requirement for this position is a strong foundation in troubleshooting skills, proactive approach, and ability to work independently while coordinating with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues: Provide timely and effective support to employees experiencing technical difficulties.
  • User account management: Manage user permissions across multiple platforms to ensure secure and efficient access.
  • IT Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement enhancements to IT processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful deployments and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree: In Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Work experience: 3+ years in IT support, systems administration, or similar roles.
  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Cloud computing: Experience with Google Workspace / Office 365 administration.
  • Security: Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection, and security best practices.
