Electrical Engineer Role

We're seeking an accomplished electrical engineer with expertise in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment.

About the Job

This senior-level role requires hands-on technical expertise, ability to handle B&R I/O systems and Siemens PLCs, and a solid foundation in risk assessment and machine safety.

  • Lead design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Work with industrial I/O systems, familiarity with B&R PLCs is an advantage.
  • Contribute to risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Design AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  2. Manage and maintain product data in PLM systems.
  3. Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
  4. Support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
  5. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
