Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in building robust automation solutions, working in Agile teams, and using tools like Jira for test management and defect tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation test frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver.
- Write and execute automated test scripts for web, API and regression testing.
- Design JavaScript-based automation scripts for front-end validations.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners and QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.
- Manage defects, track and report using Jira.
- Create detailed test cases, test data and documentation for automation coverage.
- Identify test automation opportunities and contribute to the automation strategy and roadmap.
- Ensure test scripts are reliable, maintainable and reusable.
- Provide feedback on software design and user experience from a testability perspective.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation.
- Strong programming skills in C# (required).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI test automation.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript for automation scripting and front-end testing.
- Experience with Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies.
- Good knowledge of API testing (REST) and tools like Postman or RestSharp (C# libraries).
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
