Senior Neurology Resident

Our organization is seeking a Senior Neurology Resident to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves working collaboratively with other medical specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders.

  • Clinical Care:
    • Conduct thorough neurological examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
    • Diagnose and manage seizures and epilepsy, prescribe antiepileptic medications, and counsel patients on seizure management and safety precautions.
    • Participate in the acute management of stroke patients, administer thrombolytic therapy (if eligible), and implement stroke prevention strategies.
  • Inpatient and Outpatient Care:
    • Provide care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing acute neurological emergencies and conducting consultations.
    • Perform initial assessments, provide ongoing care, and monitor disease progression in patients with chronic neurological conditions.
  • Collaborative Work:
    • Work closely with neurosurgery, neuroradiology, psychiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy specialists to deliver integrated care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures:
    • Perform or assist with various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in neurology, including lumbar punctures, electromyography, nerve conduction studies, and deep brain stimulation programming.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in neurology or completion of a neurology residency program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
