Job Description:

We are seeking an administrative professional to join our tax team. The successful candidate will provide support to partners, directors, managers, and staff in the tax department.

The role involves assembling tax returns and extensions, setting up new clients in software applications, updating client information as needed, processing disengagement of clients and offboarding them in systems, rolling, extending, and closing projects in appropriate software, reassigning projects to job managers in software, scanning, copying, and saving documents as necessary, and providing support to other administrative team members during absences or high-volume workload periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to partners, directors, managers, and staff in the tax department
  • Assemble tax returns and extensions
  • Set up new clients in software applications
  • Update client information as needed
  • Process disengagement of clients and offboard them in systems
  • Roll, extend, and close projects in appropriate software
  • Reassign projects to job managers in software
  • Scan, copy, and save documents as necessary
  • Provide support to other administrative team members during absences or high-volume workload periods

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of related experience, preferably with an accounting firm
  • Experience in CCH Axcess Tax, SafeSend preferred but not required
  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce, or similar CRM software preferred
  • Proficient skills in MS Office programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to proofread for errors
  • Familiarity with public accounting is a plus
