Your Role as a Principal Software Engineer

You'll work within an end-to-end team to design, build, deploy, and manage cloud services that help users stay safe from cyber threats. Users will be able to control and access this information from web browsers, desktop, and mobile applications.

You'll collaborate with program managers and other security engineering disciplines to deliver core features in our Microsoft security portal, as well as back-end functionality that supports them. This role is crucial in combating malware and will contribute to the protection of millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience as a software engineer working on industrial strength software, with a proven track record of shipping commercially successful software products and services.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team, full-stack development experience, deep knowledge of building performant, highly available, reliable, distributed services, designing systems and processes for running services at scale, and expertise in C#, Java, C/C++, HTML/JavaScript/React, Progressive Web Apps, React-Native, and Secure Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Education: BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
