Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Data Science Leader to join our dynamic team, driving innovation in hotel ranking, recommendations, pricing, discovery, and personalization initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and deploying cutting-edge deep learning models for ranking, pricing, recommendation, and representation learning.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across project stages, leading project development from inception to completion.
  • Leveraging expertise in SQL and Python to build intelligent AI/ML systems, ensuring data-driven insights.
  • Working with large click stream e-commerce datasets, exploring opportunities in the rapidly growing travel space.
  • Designing and owning robust data science APIs meeting 99% SLA at high RPS, ensuring MLOps rigor.
  • Driving business impact while developing best-in-class AI/ML models.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in ML Modeling, Learning to Rank, Recommendations, or Personalization systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of ML techniques, including Classification, Learning to Rank Methods, Recommender Systems, Dynamic Pricing, Choice modelling, Anomaly Detection, Time Series Forecasting.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
  • Experience deploying models into production is preferred.
  • Applying machine learning techniques to big data systems with TB to PB scale datasets.
  • Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software.
  • Strong research record demonstrated through publications.
  • Experience with design and analysis of experiments.
  • Large-scale A/B testing systems, especially in online advertising or online commerce.
