About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Streaming Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java/Scala/Python development and design, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Flink, Beam (or Spark Streaming), and Kafka.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and efficient real-time streaming systems using Java/Scala/Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality code.
  • Maintain and improve existing real-time streaming infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in real-time streaming.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in development and design with Java/Scala/Python.
  • Strong knowledge of Flink, Beam (or Spark Streaming), and Kafka.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms, preferably Azure and OCI.
  • Excellent understanding of GitOps and CI/CD principles.
  • Extensive coding experience and knowledge in event-driven and streaming architecture.
  • Good hands-on experience with design patterns and their implementation.
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
  • Well-versed with distributed services resiliency and monitoring in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Linux OS configuration and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with public cloud automation toolsets and Cloud Native applications.
  • Understanding of security engineering practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with research and development mindset.
