Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced investigator to lead investigations effectively and provide actionable recommendations to senior management. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in handling hot-line/integrity and ethics lines.

This role requires an individual to conduct thorough investigations into various matters such as corporate fraud, misconduct, compliance violations, security breaches, or other incidents. The candidate will oversee all aspects of the investigation process, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and delivering findings and recommendations to senior management or relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft investigative plans by adhering to prescribed methodologies and conducting thorough research.
  • Analyze evidence and make meaningful observations/conclusions, providing recommendations as needed.
  • Conduct interviews with relevant individuals (employees/external parties) and document findings accurately and ethically.
  • Maintain case files and central investigations database to operational standards.
  • Evaluate each investigation's accuracy and provide value-adding conclusions.
  • Offer recommendations based on investigation type, including system/people/process failures or internal/external threats.
  • Support HR and Risk management teams in Fraud Awareness, training, and sensitization Campaigns.

Case Management:

  • Provide credible information for Management Insights produced by the Investigation team.
  • Prepare and submit whistle-blowing reports to the Head of Department, including summary slides for presentation in other management forums.

Risk Identification and Awareness:

  • Escalate identified risks/emerging risks to line management upon discovery.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders to build synergies and teamwork.

Qualification:

  • Academics: Chartered Accountant, MBA (in Finance and Risk Management)
  • Professional: Hold a professional qualification in a relevant field such as Certified Fraud Examiner.
  • Desired work experience: Minimum 6-10 years of professional experience with investigatory procedures and practice.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Investigator) are a plus.
  • Preferred experience in Pharma or Big 4 (Investigation) or any other industry is preferred.
  • Experience in handling Hot-line/Integrity & Ethics line.
  • Expertise in investigation procedures & techniques along with relevant legal implications.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
