Job Summary

:

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, with experience in designing and implementing complex control systems for oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control system designs for oil and gas projects
  • Perform sizing calculations and preliminary analyses for control valves, flow elements, and thermowells
  • Prepare data sheets and technical bid evaluations for field instrumentation and control packages
  • Assist in developing or reviewing discipline material quantity estimates
  • Develop and maintain I/O databases for DCS, SIS, F&G, and mechanical vendor packages
  • Prepare instrument indexes, data sheets, wiring and loop diagrams, and loop folders
  • Participate in 3D model review sessions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Control or a related field
  • 4-7 years of industry experience for Level 1 position, 8-11 years for Level 2 position
  • Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations
  • Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards
  • Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability
  • Job knowledge of various types of field instrumentation, DCS, PLC, hazardous areas
  • Design experience or basic knowledge of DCS/PLC and SCADA networks, fiber optic, and CAT 6
  • Basic awareness of industry standards application programs such as SPI, Smart Plant, Flowel
  • Basic skills in oral and written communication
  • FEED, engineering, and design experience in O&G/Semi-conductor/Mining & Metal projects
  • TUV/Exida Certified Functional Safety Professional and Certified Cyber Security Professional
