We are seeking a skilled Tax Associate to join our team.

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expertise in UK corporation tax compliance processes to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of our organization.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of taxation laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The role involves managing a portfolio of subsidiary entities, preparing annual tax provisions and tax accounting disclosures, and liaising with Finance teams to gather information required for the preparation of computations.

About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting our UK corporation tax compliance. This will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of group companies
  • Preparing the annual tax provisions and tax accounting disclosures for those companies
  • Liaising with Finance teams to gather information required for the preparation of computations
  • Carrying out initial research into tax technical issues
  • Finalizing tax computations ready for submission to HMRC

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Group relief payment settlements and ledger management
  • Preparation of internal group relief settlement summaries and collections
  • Providing input into and assisting with the corporation tax processes and group relief plans for submission to HM Revenue & Customs
  • Gathering and manipulating data into an appropriate format to use in the preparation of tax computations

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A professional accounting qualification or relevant experience in taxation
  • An up-to-date knowledge of the UK corporation tax system, including legislative, non-statutory, and practical aspects
  • A good working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word
  • The ability to handle a high-volume workload on a regular basis within overall deadlines and service standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of how to deliver and maintain a best-in-class taxation service
