Job Description:

As a seasoned transaction professional, you will have a profound impact on the financial services industry by ensuring the integrity of transactions and mitigating risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, and structuring.

The role involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex data, and identifying patterns and trends to detect suspicious activity. You will be responsible for reviewing consumer customers, making risk decisions based on Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, and performing company research using various online platforms and publicly available information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting investigations on cases and alerts produced through the bank's automated Anti-Money Laundering System or through internal referrals;
  • Preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)/Cash Transaction Reports and sanctions screening;
  • Undertaking enhanced due diligence, remediation of KYC files, and transaction monitoring/CFT alert investigation and analysis;
  • Building expertise in transaction monitoring concepts, FATF standards, Wolfsberg principles, Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, Bank Secrecy Act, and US Patriot Act;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, team attitude, and client focus;

Requirements:

Relevant experience in transaction monitoring compliance/consulting/banking is essential. Financial Services or transaction monitoring advisory experience is also highly valued. Knowledge of transaction monitoring policy/program development or review, gap assessment, risk assessment, SAR, and OFAC testing is desirable.

Additional requirements include:

  • Good people management and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong Microsoft Office internet and computer skills;
  • Strong written English skills;
  • Financial Crime certification (CFE/ACAMS) is an added advantage.

Location and Work Arrangements:

The base location for this role will be Bangalore/Hyderabad/Mumbai. As a remote worker, you can expect to work from home or client locations as per project needs. The contractual role is for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to individual performance and business requirements.
