Software Development Engineer in Test Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to design and develop automated testing tools and scripts.

This role is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products by designing and developing automated testing tools and scripts using technologies such as JUnit, Jest, Mockito, Wire Mock, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, C#, .Net, ASP .Net, Java, and Core .Net.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and developing automated testing tools and scripts
  2. Collaborating with development teams to review new feature designs and validate test specifications
  3. Identifying defects and owning them through the resolution and verification cycle
  4. Creating, updating, reviewing, and executing automated and manual tests

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing and development
  • Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Git hub, Gitlab, JIRA, Jenkins, and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, My SQL, Bigdata technologies
  • Experience working with UNIX/Linux (command-line usage, simple shell scripting)
