Job Overview:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, scalability, and performance of critical systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain infrastructure, improve system reliability, and automate processes wherever possible.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards for system health, performance, and capacity planning, driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and implement automation for repetitive tasks, including deployments, scaling, and maintenance, reducing manual intervention and improving efficiency.
  • Respond to incidents, lead post-incident analysis, and drive efforts to prevent recurrences through detailed root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in infrastructure, databases, applications, and networking, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design systems that are highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and optimized for performance and cost.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve delivery cycles, enhancing team productivity and agility.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring that systems are resilient and capable of fast recovery.
  • Monitor and forecast resource utilization and implement cost-effective scaling strategies, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure that all systems meet or exceed security and compliance requirements, protecting sensitive data and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes, providing valuable knowledge sharing and mentorship opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-6 years in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or Infrastructure role, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, NodeJS, Bash, etc.), with experience in writing efficient and well-documented code.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms, with a solid understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, with experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems, diagnose issues, and drive improvements.
  • Familiarity with tools such as New relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, or equivalent, with experience in monitoring and troubleshooting system performance.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Code Pipeline, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent, with a focus on automating deployments and improving delivery cycles.
  • Experience with Git and version control best practices, with a strong understanding of collaborative development and code management.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, with a solid grasp of containerization and orchestration principles.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls, with experience in designing and implementing network architectures.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, diagnose issues, and drive improvements, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
