Front End Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our research and development team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing scalable software solutions, with expertise in both front-end and back-end coding languages.

This role involves working closely with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions, designing client-side and server-side architecture, and building the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.

The responsibilities also include developing and managing well-functioning databases and applications, writing effective APIs, testing software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software, creating security and data protection settings, and writing technical documentation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Designing software solutions for the front end and back end
    • Developing and deploying front-end applications
    • Working with development teams to ideate software solutions

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience as a Front End/Angular Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of multiple front-end languages and libraries, such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, and jQuery.

Familiarity with common stacks, including desktop and mobile applications, is also required.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with data scientists and analysts to improve software.

Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Front End/Angular Developer or similar role
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C++, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL) and UI/UX design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
