Android Software Engineer Position

This role requires an individual with expertise in developing and customizing Android software for various hardware platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with AOSP, HAL development, system service integration, and Android architecture. Proficiency in C/C++, Java, shell scripting, and cross-compilation environments is necessary.

Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with Binder IPC, AIDL, custom Android services, kernel module development, and SELinux security policies.

Experience with OTA mechanisms, including server configuration and system update flows, as well as Secure Boot, cryptographic image validation, and Android Verified Boot, is also desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Porting and customizing AOSP for custom camera hardware platforms.
  • Integrating and optimizing camera HAL and ISP firmware.
  • Working with custom kernel modules and device drivers to support new hardware features.
  • Developing and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) including bootloaders, device trees, and system services.
  • Customizing init.rc scripts to manage Android services and startup configuration.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of embedded Android development experience.
