**Job Title:** Backend Software Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Laravel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable backend applications using Laravel.
  • Write clean, well-documented code following PHP and Laravel standards.
API Development
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to deliver features and improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional team discussions and planning.
Performance & Security
  • Ensure high standards of application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues and bugs in production.
Code Quality & Best Practices
  • Participate in code reviews and promote coding standards and best practices.
  • Maintain source control using Git and follow agile development workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Laravel and PHP backend development.
  • Strong understanding of MySQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
  • Proven experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and agile methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial or loan management systems, USSD applications, or mobile carrier integrations is a strong advantage.
