Risk Management Specialist

The primary purpose of this role is to spearhead the development and implementation of a robust Enterprise Risk Management framework across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that encompasses all operational activities within the Enterprise Risk Management function.
- Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure effective risk mitigation and business process improvement.
- Identify, evaluate, and document control weaknesses and deficiencies; and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Risk Registers (RCSA) to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct regular review of current business processes, identify control gaps and deficiencies, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
- Update the Enterprise Risk Policy to reflect best practice and accommodate changing regulatory and strategic scenarios.
- Assist Principal Risk Owners in identifying key risks and mitigating controls in their business units, as well as action plans to address any gaps in the mitigating measures identified.
- Prepare reports for the Risk Committee, Executive Management Team, and Board Committees to ensure informed decision-making.
- Develop an integrated risk reporting framework enabling focused attention on critical risks.
- Graduate degree in finance, management, or risk management from a reputable institution. Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, CBCP, and similar are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment, and management frameworks.
- Ability to design and evaluate the effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes.
- Knowledge of risk and governance standards, including COSO framework and Basel Corporate Governance Principles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
