Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to spearhead our Finance Technology organization's cloud computing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing high-performance, globally scalable financial systems using Amazon's utility computing web services.


About the Role:

This senior role will focus on Project Accounting space, where we are building systems that service the needs of accounting, tax, and finance teams worldwide. Our goal is to automate transactions creation and posting while maintaining the granularity needed for recording, budgeting, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with accounting and tax stakeholders to develop a strategy for building PFS using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Create cloud-based finance systems that support Amazon's global footprint
  • Ensure engineering best practices are followed and software is designed to be highly available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats
  • Drive architectural and design choices and invent new features

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
