Job Title: Interior Design Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to support our lead designer in creating stunning interior designs. As an Interior Design Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our design team and contributing to the success of our projects.

  • You will accompany and assist the lead designer during client meetings at job sites and showrooms, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with clients.
  • You will take detailed notes during meetings, measure and photograph projects to document progress and provide valuable insights to our design team.
  • You will create accurate CAD drawings for client projects, utilizing your technical skills and attention to detail.
  • You will research and recommend d'cor and materials, including pricing, availability, stock, and more, to help our designers make informed decisions.
  • You will place orders, purchase materials, pick up, and deliver items as needed, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • You will submit receipts for all purchases and orders, maintaining a record of expenses and facilitating financial management.
  • You will track and communicate the status of orders, resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • You will maintain spreadsheets with client selections and finish materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our project management.
  • You will schedule appointments and tasks for designers, contractors, clients, and vendors, coordinating logistics and timelines.
  • You will respond to client inquiries and concerns, providing updates on project progress and addressing any questions or issues they may have.
  • You will meet with vendors, assist with installations, and ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation.
  • You will submit detailed hours (billable and non-billable) and mileage logs monthly, supporting our financial management and reporting.
  • You will review the daily client spreadsheet for new tasks, update the status of assigned tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
