Senior Risk and Compliance Manager

As a Senior Risk and Compliance Manager at Tesco Bengaluru, you will be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing team, creating an environment for success by setting direction and coaching them to succeed through inspiring conversations every day. You will be accountable for achieving team objectives, stakeholder management, and escalation management, making decisions within policy and procedure frameworks to deliver business plans.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Initiating and designing continuous improvements initiatives to drive performance within teams.
2. Accountable for achieving team objectives, stakeholder management, and escalation management.
3. Making decisions within policy and procedure frameworks to deliver business plans.
4. Developing end-to-end Controls Frameworks for new processes and new People systems.
5. Ownership and responsibility to update and continuously improve Risk and Control Matricies (RACMs).
6. Creating Control KPIs to monitor the control environment for end-to-end processes.
7. Business partnering with Global Process Owners, Process Teams, and Service Leads on changes to processes that impact the Controls Framework.
8. Business partnering with Internal and External Audit and other Second Line of Defense teams.
9. Review, monitoring, and management of second-line defense assurance activities, including Key People Control self-assessment, Risk Management, IT Risk and Controls, Legal compliance, Fraud, Investigations, and Security.
10. Review, support, and deployment of design and operational effectiveness testing of key and non-key controls.
11. Leading and supporting Control Self-Assessment for 1st Line.
12. Supporting with documentation and preparation of Governance and Audit Committee reports on control design and effectiveness.
Requirements:
1. Expert knowledge of good practice payroll and related HR processes in a large, complex organisation.
2. Internal controls documentation, implementation, and improvement.
3. Enterprise controls and compliance.
4. IT Auditing and Sox Framework.
5. Understanding IT Controls, including the 3 lines of defence model.
6. Strong senior stakeholder engagement.
7. Strong working knowledge of Controls, Compliance, and IT and Audit in an HR environment.
8. Reviewing and re-engineering procedures, formulating policy, process, controls, and compliance ensuring risk mitigation.
9. Providing technical guidance and delivering training to end-users.
10. Data interrogation to identify issues, errors, and fraud.
11. Performing and leading investigations where required and facilitating/implementing key actions.
