A pioneering researcher in artificial intelligence is sought to lead a multidisciplinary research program at Stony Brook University. The ideal candidate will drive advances in AI-driven scientific discovery, focusing on applications within materials and biomolecular design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a well-funded research agenda, fostering collaboration with faculty across the university.
  • Mentor graduate students, cultivating a new generation of interdisciplinary AI experts.
  • Contribute to the development of a center of excellence in Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) and high-performance computing.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of scholarly achievements, high-impact publications, and significant research funding. A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Bio-engineering, or a closely related field is required. Experience in machine learning and its applications to biomolecular and/or drug design is essential.

Qualifications:
