About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe IMS System Programmer SME to join our team at Kyndryl Solutions Private Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on all things infrastructure.

This is a project-based role that requires a deep understanding of Mainframe IMS System Programming. You will be working closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs to ensure seamless project delivery. In addition, you will have opportunities to gain certification and qualifications on the job and continuously grow as a Cloud Hyperscaler.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support and guidance on Mainframe IMS System Programming
  • Work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Gain certification and qualifications on the job and continuously grow as a Cloud Hyperscaler
  • Analyze problems and tech issues related to Mainframe IMS System Programming
  • Offer solutions and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems

Requirements

  • 9-14 years of experience in Mainframe IMS System Programming
  • Experience with IMS system software and related program products software, including installation, migrations, customization, and maintenance
  • Familiarity with DBMS security interfaces, DBMS connection interfaces to other subsystems (DB2/CICS/etc), and network VTAM/IP functionality
  • Experience in IMS backup and recovery scenarios, including traditional image copy, FLASH, mirroring, etc.
  • Proficient in JCL, TSO/SDSF/JES2/SYSVIEW/SMP/E
  • Ability to debug and diagnose DBMS system and utility software
