Piping Stress Engineer Job Opportunity

  • Lead piping stress analysis projects from conceptual design to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and safe design practices.

As a Piping Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing piping systems that meet or exceed client expectations. Your primary objective is to ensure the structural integrity of our clients' assets by conducting thorough stress analysis and providing expert recommendations to mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
  • Perform surge analysis using PIPENET software and identify various data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage.
  • Extract surge force from PIPENET and apply it to stress analysis to ensure accurate results.
  • Prepare detailed surge analysis reports for submission to clients as official deliverables.
  • Coordinate with non-metallic pipe vendors to obtain correct pipe properties, ensuring stress analysis conforms to vendor-supplied parameters.
  • Develop and implement job execution plans, work instructions, and standard drawings based on ITB requirements.
  • Estimate man-hours for projects/proposals and allocate specific jobs to assigned engineers, monitoring their progress regularly.
  • Control project schedules, quality, and budgeted man-hours.
  • Interact with clients/PMC/vendors to resolve key issues and monitor adherence to technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Review vendor data, drawings, specifications, calculations, and other technical documents to ensure conformity to ITB requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in piping stress analysis and design.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and ISO 14692 codes and standards applicable for pipe stress analysis.
  • Proficiency in Caesar II and PIPENET software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
