The Knowledge, Language, and Reasoning Lab is inviting applications for research positions. Our lab focuses on developing efficient models for diverse tasks through research in knowledge representation, language understanding, and reasoning with Large Language Models (LLMs). We explore the creation of structured knowledge corpora, language understanding, and reasoning techniques to enhance LLMs' learning and performance. Specifically, we are interested in methods that enable smaller language models to perform complex reasoning across a range of downstream tasks.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong foundation in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science.
  • High proficiency in programming, particularly in Python.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, or work involving LLMs.
  • Familiarity with DL frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate:

  • A strong learning mindset.
  • Keen interest in staying up-to-date with recent research developments in NLP, ML, and AI.
  • Initiative in exploring original ideas and asking meaningful questions.
