Job Opportunity: Information Technology Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled IT auditor to fill this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Schellman Methodology and related frameworks.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues and peers.
  • Obtain relevant certifications (ISO 27001, CISA, CISSP, AWS CCP) and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Successfully lead projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Schellman's service lines and their leaders.
  • Demonstrate expertise in SOC 1 GITCs and each Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy SOC 2 criterion.
  • Understand the impact of Principal Service Commitments and System Requirements on the scope of a SOC 2 engagement.
  • Be familiar with all four report opinion outcomes and able to draft modified opinions.
  • Identify potential exceptions that may yield a qualified opinion.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Review and apply concepts of AS 2.0 Reference Guide and 'EWP WP Guidance'.
  • Obtain CCSK certification and pursue second certification (CISA, AWS CCP).
  • Understand and articulate differences between SOC 1 and SOC 2.
  • Participate on projects as a shadow or assessor for attestation offerings such as HIPAA, AUP, C5, etc.
  • Begin understanding SOC 1 GITCs and each SOC 2 criterion for the Security, Availability, and Confidentiality categories.
  • Articulate qualified vs unqualified opinion; know all four types of opinions.
  • Learn Schellman's services and service line leaders.
  • Adhere to Schellman's code of ethics and professional conduct, methodologies, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish high-quality relationships and rapport with client personnel.
  • Manage client expectations to ensure exceeding them.
  • Complete assigned duties in a timely manner with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with fellow project team members throughout the life cycle of each project.
  • Escalate issues internally in a proper and timely manner.
  • Use discretion and decorum in client communications.
  • Book travel reservations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform testing procedures, analyze results, document findings according to company standards, and suggest improvements.
  • Draft project deliverables.
  • Serve as a contact for clients regarding engagement-related questions.
  • Participate in recruiting and candidate interview activities.
  • Train project team members.
  • Acclimatize newer team members to Schellman's work environment.
  • Contribute to Schellman's practice development efforts.
  • Develop expert knowledge of professional and regulatory standards relevant to assigned service line specialization(s).
  • Contribute to Schellman's thought leadership efforts (e.g., articles, webinars, public speaking, etc.).
