The role of a Data Engineer involves designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports data collection, storage, processing, and analysis. This includes developing ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest data from various sources into our central repository.

  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Develop data ingestion pipelines using ETL/ELT tools to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
  • Cloud Services: Possess hands-on experience with cloud-based services, including AWS Lambda, DMS, and Glue.
  • Cloud Data Warehousing: Demonstrate a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and practical experience using Snowflake as a cloud-based data warehouse solution.
  • Workflow Automation: Utilize Apache Airflow to manage and monitor scheduled data workflows.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of delivered datasets and reports.

A skilled Data Engineer will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate project requirements into effective technical solutions. Responsibilities include delivering data sets to other accounts and supporting the creation of business intelligence reports.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong proficiency in SQL scripting for database operations
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design implementable solutions based on business needs
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle and project documentation best practices
