About the Pricing Analytics Team

The team supports pricing managers and merchants in defining and optimizing pricing strategies for various product categories across channels.

They leverage advanced analytics to forecast/measures the impact of pricing actions, develop strategic price zones, recommend price changes, and identify sales/margin opportunities to achieve company targets.

The Sr. Analyst - Pricing is responsible for developing, modeling, communicating, and tracking performance of new initiatives related to Pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cluster-specific data analytics including development and deployment of dashboards, reporting, and insights.
  • Research, design, and develop statistical approaches/models for business problems (Price Testing, Price Change, Post Mortem & Category review).
  • Design processes to gather, explore, structure, enrich, and clean large datasets from internal and external sources.
  • Leverage Item role designation (KVI, Head, Core & Tail) models to develop insights.
  • Develop scalable retail test processes and frameworks for experiment design, test vs control testing, baseline development, assessment, and recommendations.
  • Analyze Competitor demographics & performance for pricing across key categories.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for the Pricing team.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations synthesizing multiple data sets to effect a decision related to Pricing.

This role requires a strong understanding of the business to provide effective solutions that meet customer needs and drive a concept from vision to completion with limited direction.

Required skills include experience in data mining and visualization tools like Power BI, Excel, GCP, and SQL (ETL), strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to accumulate, evaluate, and generate insights from disparate data sources, story building with data, and process improvement/automation experience.
