About our role:

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Lead Engineer who can spearhead the development of innovative solutions in the realm of data.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technical leadership, collaboration, and driving business growth through technology.

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading or contributing significantly to strategic initiatives, solving complex technical problems, and mentoring junior team members.

  • Lead or contribute to key projects that drive customer satisfaction and company success
  • Solve intricate technical challenges and enable others to learn and extend
  • Support the Engineering Manager in shaping the technical direction
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Drive continuous improvement of production systems and advocate for system health
  • Work with stakeholders to design high-quality solutions that meet user needs

We are looking for someone with:

  • Deep knowledge of SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with data modeling
  • Experience with data pipelines
  • Experience with data consumption
  • Experience with data analysis and documentation
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Advanced skills in designing scalable and performing solutions for millions of users
  • Advanced skills in developing long-term system architecture strategies
  • Experience with modern software development techniques (e.g. functional programming, microservices, test-driven development and CI/CD)
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders
  • Able to understand business, customer, and consumer needs to provide appropriate data solutions
  • Able to mentor other engineers in a collaborative agile team environment
  • Passionate about data and the latest data technologies
  • Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD approaches, and tools

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS (S3, Lambda, IaC), Airflow, interacting with REST APIs
