Job Title: BIM Technician

This is a Senior level position requiring extensive experience with CAD and BIM software.

The role involves the creation and editing of drawings in compliance with industry standards, detailing practices, and ensuring high-quality output.

  • Responsible for basic CAD and BIM design tasks as directed by Engineers.
  • Prepare project drawings 2D and BIM Models.
  • Self-check drawings with quality and manage deadlines of production and team members.
  • Liaise with the team for technical aspects.
  • Creation and editing of drawings sketches in compliance with agreed timescales.
  • Completion of CAD tasks received from Engineers or CAD Coordinator.
  • Coordinate and support the Complementary Resources Centers (iCRCs) CAD team.
  • Generate sections / schedules / schematics from general arrangement drawings.
  • Ensure drawings are issued, and filed appropriately.
  • Conversion of drawings to other formats if required.
  • Provide regular work status updates to line manager.
  • Embed Health Safety into all work practices in line with company policies.
  • Develop expertise and stay updated on developments in relevant technical field.

Qualifications (background, skills, and experience):
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years experience with Autocad and Revit.
  • Experience in producing and checking As-built 2D drawings and 3D modelling.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as being a self-starter able to work unsupervised.
