Job Description

A rare opportunity exists for a seasoned private equity professional to advise on capital allocation, business model development, and value creation as part of the founding board of a hospital consolidation platform.

The platform consolidates EBITDA-positive family-owned hospitals across Tier-2 and Tier-3 India, with a disciplined acquisition model targeting revenue in the range of ₹10–₹60 crore and 12–18% EBITDA margins.

Over the next 12–18 months, we plan to acquire 6–8 hospitals in Maharashtra, adding 600–800 beds and generating consolidated revenue in the range of ₹180–₹250 crore.

Hospitals will be organised into regional clusters with shared clinical protocols, procurement, and administration, improving efficiency and margins.

The market opportunity is significant: ₹1.5 trillion in hospital assets are expected to change hands in the next 5–7 years, driven by succession gaps, promoter fatigue, and regulatory pressures.

We aim to own and operate each hospital directly to ensure consistent quality, pricing, staffing, and branding, unlike aggregators.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Being a retired or semi-retired General Manager, Partner, or Operating Partner from a PE or growth equity firm;
  • Having a track record in Indian healthcare services, including hospitals, diagnostics, or provider networks;
  • Possessing a strong working knowledge of seller rollover, deferred payments, and healthcare M&A mechanics;
  • Experience working with founder-led, Tier-2/3 healthcare companies;
  • An active professional network of healthcare investors, banks, and deal intermediaries;
  • Experience in platform build-outs with defined 3–7 year monetisation timelines.
