Accounting Manager Position Overview

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate accounting, with experience in managing a portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee property level accounting, including rent rolls and lease maintenance.
  • Review third-party property accounting for consistency, accuracy, and proper accounting.
  • Manage cash flows, including weekly check fundings and financial reports.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly budget re-projections.
  • Perform tax basis amortization and depreciation calculations.
  • Provide support to third-party MRI users.
  • Review and approve operating and tax escalations.
  • Analyze data and prepare unaudited financial reports as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of property accounting experience, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Experience working with funds and/or joint ventures.
  • Strong understanding of fair value GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency with financial software systems applications and Microsoft Windows software programs.
