Accounts Payable Leadership Role

The Accounts Payable Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.

This leadership position requires strong financial management skills, with the ability to supervise daily AP operations, manage staff, enforce financial controls, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Manage, train, and support the development of AP staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Ensure that all AP processes are compliant with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement AP processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Monitor vendor relationships, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assist with audits, month-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Generate AP reports to support financial planning and analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
