Job Overview:

  • As a senior digital signal processing engineer, you will be responsible for defining system architecture and designing algorithms for implementation in FPGA and software.
  • You will lead projects from concept to delivery, including risk identification, dependency creation, mitigation planning, project schedule tracking, customer discussions, and design reviews.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software, identify building blocks and signal processing functions.
  • Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and perform peer reviews. Apply design, verification, or validation methodologies.
  • Maintain all project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Support customers during integration phases at test sites and provide support to production teams.
  • Develop RTL function architectures.
  • Coding in HDL.
  • Simulation and implementation.
  • Testing on board and debugging.

Professional Requirements:

  • VHDL expertise
  • Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation.
  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Functional simulation.
  • Hardware design: logic design and debugging expertise.
  • FPGA design: VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog.
  • FPGA synthesis and PAR tools.
  • Implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, visualizing data.
  • Working knowledge of ADCs and DACs interfacing and interpreting performance.
  • Effective communication, presentation skills.
  • Configuration/version control tools like SVN.
